Hertz means cycles per second. For an ESWT device, pulse repetition rate counts separate pulses. An individual pressure pulse also contains a range of acoustic frequencies.

At 3 Hz, the model represents three cycles each second. Playback is slowed to make the pattern easier to follow. At a fixed model wave speed, more cycles fit into the same distance.
A number is part of a bigger picture.
Energy, pressure profile, pulse count, applicator, target and diagnosis matter. This model is deliberately simplified; a clinical pulse is different from a repeating decorative sine wave.
