Distance changes apparent size. Speed changes momentum. The way an object or body slows down changes the force over time. This visual study is neither a treatment nor a personal injury-risk calculation.
Momentum: mass × velocity. Average force: change in momentum ÷ stopping time. Joint loads involve additional geometry and biology.

The paddle is a lever
Where a paddle's mass sits matters as well as how much it weighs. Reach changes the lever arm. An off-centre strike can change the load transmitted through the hand and forearm. The ball's speed and the way you absorb it matter too.
Spot the two stories
A sudden ankle turn is an acute-injury story. Persistent outer-elbow pain after repeated gripping is a different, potentially overuse-related story. They should not automatically lead to the same treatment.
